Connect the cars
to the hours.

Vehicle count says how much work arrived. Payroll hours say what labor cost. Cars per labor hour is the bridge between them, which is why it belongs in every staffing review and almost never stands alone.

The formula

Completed vehicles divided by direct labor hours.

Choose the vehicle event that matches the question: parked cars for arrival productivity, retrieved cars for departure productivity, or completed sessions for a whole-shift view. Then divide by the paid hours used in that same scope and time window.

The result is not a speed score for individual valets. It is an operating ratio for the system, including demand shape, walking distance, elevators, key control, training, breaks, and management coverage.

A runner assigned to a remote floor may complete fewer cars while protecting the entire team's flow. A greeter may create no completed vehicle count while preventing lost guests.
