A2P 10DLC compliance

A text message is a regulated route.

In the United States, a business cannot text from a 10-digit number until its brand and its messaging campaign are registered and approved. Unregistered traffic is not slowed down. It is blocked. That has been the rule since 2023, and the registration bar has been rising ever since.

What's actually true

There is no grace period.

There is a registration you either have or do not have, and a set of disclosures carriers expect to find on the far end of every link you register. This is not a rule that is coming. It arrived in 2023, and every year since, the paperwork has gotten stricter rather than looser.

Carriers and The Campaign Registry decide whether a brand and a campaign are approved. Valletto prepares the submission, validates it before it costs anything, and tells you exactly where it stands.

What we ask for

Two things. Everything else is derived.

Your exact legal business name and a 9-digit EIN. The authorized contact is prefilled from your own account. Every other field a carrier wants - your website, your Terms and Privacy pages, your SMS Consent page, your support email and phone - is derived from what Valletto already knows about your company, not asked for a second time.

Legal name + EIN2 things asked. The authorized contact is prefilled.

Review the rest of your business information before submission:

One registration, five stages

From a legal name to a linked number.

Profile, brand, campaign, number - each stage is either self-serve or a one-click action where a Valletto admin sees the exact payload and the exact cost before anything is submitted. Nothing here is automatic end to end, and that manual gate is deliberate: it is the point where a person looks before a paid step happens.

The wording that survived a carrier review.

Review your campaign wording before submission. Valletto helps prepare it for carrier review, with the disclosures guests need to understand the messages they receive.

Your own pages

Three documents, in your name, at your address.

Every operator gets a Terms of Service, a Privacy Policy and an SMS Consent page in their own name. Review these documents with your team before using them.

Terms of ServicePrivacy PolicySMS Consent

In February 2026 the ecosystem added dedicated Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions links to campaign registration. Valletto has been generating and verifying them per operator since 2025.

See the custom branded website every operator's pages publish on.

After approval

Approved is not the finish line.

Valletto monitors registration and delivery so your team can see when messaging needs attention. Carrier approval does not guarantee that every message will arrive.

What we don't do

The carriers approve. We don't.

Brand approval, campaign approval, vetting outcome and actual delivery are the carriers' decisions, not Valletto's. Consent is captured by your own staff, under your own disclosure, at check-in - Valletto does not capture, store or manage consent records today. And until your own number is linked and approved, your guests' messages go out on Valletto's shared number under Valletto's own registered campaign. We tell you when that changes, because it is your compliance posture, not just ours.

The carriers and The Campaign Registry decide approval. We submit, validate, and watch.

Consent is captured by your staff, under your own disclosure. We do not capture, store, or manage consent records.

Before your own number is linked, messages go out on Valletto's shared number and campaign. We say so.

No certification, audit, or compliance badge is claimed here or anywhere else on this site.
