Feature Guide · Passport

A regular at one curb.
A member across the portfolio.

Passport is the valet operator's own recurring membership. A regular verifies a phone number, adds a vehicle, and becomes recognizable at the operator's covered locations without joining a property roster.

The distinction

The operator sells Passport. The property sells a Subscription.

That ownership line controls the offer, the rate, the eligible locations, and the revenue relationship. Valletto supplies the product and payment workflow; it does not choose what an operator charges.

01

What it is

Operator-owned

Passport is a recurring membership for the people an operator sees again and again: neighborhood regulars, restaurant patrons, commuters, or anyone whose parking habit spans that operator's locations. The member's phone and vehicle establish a durable relationship, so a future arrival can be recognized without a paper credential.

02

Who uses it

The operator defines and sells the membership. A regular discovers the offer through the guest payment experience, verifies their own phone, and activates it with a vehicle. The curb team keeps checking cars in the normal way; recognition and coverage happen around that familiar flow.

Passport

Operator portfolio
  • Sold and priced by the valet operator
  • Designed to span covered operator locations
  • For regulars, without a property roster

Subscription

One property
  • Sold for a specific property arrangement
  • Coverage is tied to that one property
  • For residents, employees, tenants, or members
03

The setup order

The operator sets the membership name and price. A monthly rate creates the current monthly auto-renewing package shape. The guest then verifies their phone, agrees to the offer, and supplies the first vehicle as part of activation. Wider portfolio selection is supported by the underlying membership model, while today's operator console starts with a location-centered package rather than a fully open territory builder.

Names and vehicle details are synthetic. The operator - not Valletto - determines price and eligible locations.

04

The daily loop

A member arrives at a covered location. The valet captures the plate during the standard check-in, and the active membership can resolve the vehicle's coverage. The member requests and retrieves the car through the same guest experience. The membership changes the commercial relationship, not the physical work of receiving, parking, and returning the vehicle.

05

The edge cases

An inactive membership, an uncovered location, or a different vehicle cannot be treated as covered by assumption. Duplicate active coverage for one plate is refused. If the reader cannot identify a plate, the valet can still enter it; the membership depends on the resulting vehicle identity, not on perfect camera recognition.

06

What it deliberately does not do

Passport does not turn every customer into a member, approve people from a partner roster, or let Valletto set the operator's rate. The current console also does not expose membership schedules by day and hour even though the coverage engine can enforce them; do not promise that setup control until it is part of the operator workflow.

07

What it connects to

Passport connects the guest's verified identity, vehicle, payment, operator package, eligible locations, and the plate-first check-in path. It is the recurring-revenue counterpart to a one-time guest visit, while remaining separate from a property-owned Subscription.

Next guide

Now narrow the membership to one property.

Subscriptions give a building, employer, club, or other property a recurring unlimited-valet plan of its own.

Concrete next step: choose whether the commercial owner is the operator or the property before naming or pricing the plan.
